Sustainability and energy efficiency were key requirements for this project using CLT ( Cross Laminated Timber) panels , finished to high quality internal and external finishes. The street-exposed Western terrace required retractable shading to reduce the overall heat gain on the building , and create a shaded entertaining space for relaxing and entertaining in that laid-back Bondi way . 2 small hand drawn awnings allow for partial or full shading . The client's bold colour choice for the awning fabric, lifts the presence of the facade in a statement and design originality.
